Mizani True Textures Product Launch

Tonight I had the opportunity to attend the new Mizani True Textures product launch in Soho! It was at the beautiful Dop Dop Salon on Mercer, and as I arrived a few minutes late the live tutorial began.  The President of Marketing, head of Product Development and three Mizani hairstyle experts shared with us what makes the new line so special. Infused with nourishing Marula, Olive and Coconut oils, this collection of eight key products is specifically made for textured hair. Each stylist demonstrated  how they used the different products to achieve a defined twist out, flex iron set and wand curl look. Here’s what we got in the goody bag:

Moisture Replenishing Shampoo – gently cleansing sulfate-free shampoo

Moisture Replenishing Conditioner – moisturizing conditioner

Curl Enhancing Lotion – enhance, define and prevent frizz without crunch

Twist and Coil Jelly – ideal for creating two-strand twists, coils, twist-outs and braid-outs without crunch

Dessata for Mizani Detangling brush – helps detangle your hair with care without pulling, snagging or breaking, even while wet.

Also in the line is a Cream Cleanser conditioner (for us naturals who love cowashing), Intense Moisture Replenish Treatment, Curl Define Pudding and Style Refresher Milk. The Mizani True Texture products will be available nationwide at the end of the month. Also available online at Ulta.com and Mizani.com.
After the tutorial we sipped on pumpkin flavor cocktails, wine and snacked on passed hors d’oeuvres like yummy sliders and lobster rolls!  I’m looking toward to trying out the new line. Perhaps after I remove my box braids, or I could try out the shampoo while my braids are still in. Check out my Periscope, @Girlwithnocable for live footage from the event, including a quick three strand twist tutorial!
